Manufacturing Engineer/Mechanical Engineer (Spring, TX) HR9-00089
As part of the project controls team, the Manufacturing Engineer will provide costs for machining, welding and outside services in support of orders and quotes. They will plan cost effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with customer product specifications and quality standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Develop top level manufacturing plans based on customer specifications, drawings, internal and outside processing capabilities, internal procedures, and heavy communication with Engineering and Manufacturing.
•Build manufacturing plans in ERP system to pass to production planning for manufacturing.
•Assist production with NCRs, process changes, in-process drawings, etc.
•Assist in development of manufacturing plans (MPQP, MPS, PPM) per customer requirement with project manager.
•Assist procurement with technical purchase order input.
•Provide key support for manufacturing personnel in the form of answering questions, solving problems, and creating processes to prevent future issues.
•Lead process improvement initiatives
•Participate in pre-production meetings with internal project team and customers.
•Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering a must!
•Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments, with a minimum of 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Must have experience using CAD software, ERP software and Microsoft Office.
•Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
•Prefer experience with the Oil & Gas sector.
•Know how to assess own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training/development opportunities to continuously strive toawrds build knowledge and skills.
•Displays willingness to make decisions by exhibiting sound and accurate judgment.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES.
•SAP/JD Edwards/Oracle and/or systems experience a plus.
