Regional Manager - Permian Basin HR7-00159

Job Purpose

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the distribution centers in a region.   

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • anticipated customer demands and projects. In addition, an expense plan, inventory plan, capital plan and EBITDA plan is provided.

  • Works closely with the North American sales group to drive sales initiatives.

  • Coordinates operator and wireline customer contracts with sales group.

  • Oversees customer training seminars.

  • Ensures Distribution Managers communicate all technical service issues to Tech Services in a timely manner.

  • Monitors Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for a specific region.

  • Provides consolidated quarterly  report of anticipated revenues for specific region.

  • Works with Supply Chain Manager to optimize consolidated inventory levels.

  • Works with all Hunting Titan production divisions.

  • Works with purchasing to propose third party items to stock and actively markets these products to customers.

  • Monitors open accounts receivables and work with distribution centers to collect outstanding A/R.

  • Makes recommendations to help optimize distribution center locations performance, safety and environmental issues.

  • Manages all employee related issues including selection, training, retaining, attendance management, performance evaluations.

  • Oversees the Distribution Managers and Customer Service Representatives and their responsibilities.

  • Issues written and oral instructions.

  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

  • Resolves errors and complaints.

  • Performs activities of workers supervised.

  • Manages the training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience

Education and Training

 

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four year college or university, and/or at least five years related experience and/or training.

 

B.  Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years in distribution management or related industry experience.

 

C.  Technical Requirements 

  • Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

D.  Certificates, Licenses and Registrations 

  • Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver license and must meet all ATF, DOT, State and other applicable regulations in reference to handling hazardous material such as receiving, storing, and delivery of explosives.
  • Able to travel approximately 50% of the time

E. Other

  •  Must be computer literate and be able to comprehend and install commercial business software. 
  • Able to hook up and maintain or have maintained various computer peripherals.
  • Must possess good phone etiquette and be familiar with terminology used in and around the business community. 
  • Able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive financial, personnel, and other business related information. 
  • Must have the ability to manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the task assigned to this position.
