Buyer/Planner - Pampa, TX HR7-00208
General Overview: Responsible for planning, ordering and maintaining inventory. Will negotiate commercial terms in a purchased order, including quality, pricing and deliver. This position requires on-site presence and acceptable attendance to perform the essential duties.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Monitor daily, weekly and monthly item level demand forecast planning and development.
•Assist with new item introduction and deletion, item maintenance and other procedural tasks.
•Efficient multiple warehouse inventory replenishment planning and purchase order administration.
•Proactive production planning and coordination with suppliers based on demand patterns and trends.
•Proactive customer distribution center inventory replenishment planning and order management forassigned areas of responsibility.
•Order delivery communication and facilitation between suppliers and carriers, customers andwarehouse operators.
•Create purchase orders and monitor transportation activities to assure high fill-rate at customer’sdistribution locations.
•Research root-cause of any service level issues (i.e. out-of-stock, excessive inventory, irregular or lateshipments) and provide analysis of how to remedy for future
•Review and develop insights into demand trends and patterns.
•Maintain current spreadsheets that analyze day-to-day operational activities with ability to developone’s own analysis.
•Review, research discrepancies and match supplier invoices.
•Research and resolve customer payment discrepancies and/or deductions.
•Support customer payment collection and credit line monitoring.
•Maintain vendor certificates of insurance.
•Other duties as assigned.
A.Education and Training
•Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five (5) years’ relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. General Requirements
•Able to learn fast, able to manage simultaneous projects under tight schedules, relaxed under pressure.
•High initiative level.
•Proven leadership and problem analysis skills.
C. Technical Requirements/Skills
•Knowledge of supply chain, negotiation and program management.
•Demonstrated experience in buying and planning activities.
•Ability to develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with individuals from entry toexecutive levels across the organization.
•Buying and planning skill, adaptive to drive new business.
•Excellent written and oral communication.
•Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
•Able to identify and recommend process improvements.
•Proficient in MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word).
D. Certificates, Licenses & Registratios
- Must have a valid driver's license and record that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT.
E. Work Authorization / Security Clearance
- Authorized to work in the United States
