Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, ordering and maintaining inventory. Will negotiate commercial terms in a purchased order, including quality, pricing and deliver. This position requires on-site presence to perform the essential duties

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials.

  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for best pricing.

  • Process requisitions and update management on order status.

  • Arrange transportation of goods, and track orders to ensure on timely delivery.

  • Analyze market trends and apply results to insightful buying decisions.

  • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.

  • Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to supplier and management.

  • Understand and practice driving positive Purchase Price Variance (PPV)

  • Comprehension of how safety stocks are calculated and how apply to procurement.

  • The ability to work with Quality team to perform on site supplier audits.

  • Plan pricing strategies on various product lines with management and aim to reach an agreement with suppliers that allow for optimal pricing.

  • Anticipate possible supply shortages, dependent on unpredictable variables. Devise strategies to solve any gaps with inventory supply.

  • Verifies purchase request authorization is in accordance with the latest revision of the Delegation of Authority signature guideline as published and revised by the CFO and approved by the Managing Director.

  • Works in accordance with the priorities as identified by the Purchasing Supervisor or Division General Manager.

  • Supports Purchasing Supervisor or Division General Manager in locating and developing new supply sources where a supplier’s on-time delivery, quality or cost is inadequate or non-competitive.

  • Leverages cost, reviews compliance to specifications, aligns supplier delivery to required delivery dates, and awards contract, or places purchase order, with approved supplier (with proper approvals).

Required Skills/Experience

  • Education and Training

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or related subject.

    • OR three to five years Buyer experience, with some Supply Chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • General Requirements

    • Must be a fast learner, with the capability to manage simultaneous projects under tight schedules.

    • High initiative level, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

    • Proven leadership and problem analysis skills.

    • Will be required to travel to Titan manufacturing and supplier locations domestically. Some international travel may be required.

  • Technical Requirements / Skills

    • Knowledge of supply chain, negotiation and program management.

    • Demonstrated experience in buying and planning activities.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Buying and planning skill, adaptive to drive new business.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Able to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Able to identify and recommend process improvements.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word).

  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State of other required Hazmat training.

    • Work Authorization / Security Clearance:

    • Authorized to work in United States.
