Technical Sales Representative-PA HR4-00036

Job Purpose

The Technical Sales Representative position is responsible for sales – generating revenue for the group.  With little supervision this position requires an entrepreneurial attitude and a desire to succeed.  This role requires some travel in North America.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and lead sales strategies for assigned customers and/or territories

  • Perform daily, customer office and/or field visits

  • Develop customer needs and make technical and commercial proposals to provide solutions to those needs

  • Ensure appropriate communication with sales, engineering, operations, and transportation staff to provide successful product delivery

  • Receive orders from clients, relay orders to Operations personnel and organize logistics for transportation of tools to and from locations

  • Keep organized list of tools out to assigned customers and/or territories and maintain efficient utilization of assets

  • Receive documented history of tools ran in field

  • Follow up with post run analysis and performance updates with customer

  • Ensure correct, on-time billing and handle invoicing issues as required

  • Provide short term and long term sales forecasts for assigned customers and/or territories

  • Meet and exceed sales targets

  • Assume responsibility for customer overall satisfaction

  • On call availability to include client service duties

  • Other Duties as required

Required Skills/Experience

  • Internal and external customer service skills

  • Maintain professional appearance, attitude, and behavior

  • Able to effectively communicate with customers from field to office

  • Able to manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the tasks assigned to this position
  • Must possess strong computer and application skills that include MS Office
  • Must possess excellent organization and leadership skills and be familiar with terminology used in and around the business community
  • Build professional internal and external relationships that maintain company’s core values
  • Able to learn and become proficient with software used for quoting, inventory, billing, etc.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Product knowledge of drilling tools

  • Self-starter with an outgoing attitude with willingness to develop new relationships

  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report.

  • Sales Experience in Oil & Gas a plus.

  • Product knowledge of Drilling Tools.

  • Highly organized

  • Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvements

  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical data and documents related to oilfield drilling
